Challenge:

Coming off of the success of Art X Detroit 2011 there was a need to elevate the visual brand for a greater ‘cool’ factor. The Art X Detroit’s second biannual event committee also wanted the identity to better reflect the high
quality fine arts presented by the Kresge Eminent Artists.

Solution:

A new logo was designed to be more contemporary and was worked into the full identity system as a stand alone symbol. The poster, brochure and rack card were crafted to be cutting edge, memorable and powerful.

Result:

The new identity worked seamlessly across all audience touchpoints and Art X Detroit 2013 was a huge success. They are going to continue the event and add filmmakers for 2015. We also won the pretgious Print Regional Annual Design Award 2014 for representing the Best in the Midwest.
